Time period Bran's canon has him growing up in the late 1970's, the Grey King was published in 1975 and this may colour his perceptions a bit. Television was around but computers were rather rare still and although the internet was in the process of invention no average child would have heard of it. He does, however, come from a canon that is very much our own universe.

Hair Pale blond lacking colour
Eyes Tawny gold (described as being similar to a cat or an owl)
Complexion Very pale, considered albino
Build Lanky, he helps on a farm so he isn't weak, has definition but he is still a growing boy and his body keeps shooting up.
Height 5'8"
Other Bran has strange colouring for a Welshman, where stock is normally dark haired and dark eyed. Because of his strangeness some of the locals have been rather unaccepting. The children tease him and he's been known to get in fights. Some of the adults are kind, some are falsley kind and some have no qualms with making the sign of the evil eye at him or calling him names. His Neighbor, Caradog Pritchard was one of these. None the less, he grew up on Clwyd farm where he was treated well and accepted without question by all around him, all the people on the farm care for him a great deal. Some of the people in Tywyn believe he came from the Tylwyth Teg or little people who are traditionally more pale and light of hair and eye.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Mental abilities Bran is a smart boy, he studies diligently at his father's instruction. He has a quick wit although sometimes he can be a little mischievous. He is also very proud which can be a strength but is often also a weakness.
Physically Bran is the adoptive son of a shephard, and knows how to take care of sheep. He has learned harp from one of the other shephards on the farm and can play quite well. He is, however, not fond of direct sunlight, it is hard on his pale eyes and can give him a headache if he doesn't wear sunglasses outside.

Personality

As a Welshman Bran grew up proud and defiant, glaring into the face of this adversity. He has been known to get into fights with other students, even to cause some mischief or take advantage of people thinking him descendent of the Tylwyth Teg (the old spirits/little people). Bran is a little jaded by the people he grew up around. Sometimes he speaks with a bit of snark. He dresses to accentuate his paleness with dark colours and often wears sunglasses which can make it hard to determine his mood. While he may have a streak of civil disobedience in him, he did grow up under the care of his adoptive father Owen Davies, a strict churchman and Bran does care for the man and shows respect to him. Occasionally they butt heads but nothing abnormal for a teenager.
As the son of Arthur Bran is also the son of Arthur the Pendragon and his wife Guinevere, brought forward through time by the work of Merriman (the oldest of the Old Ones and a creature of the Light) and his mother who feared that Arthur would reject Bran as a true son because of Guinevere's affair with Lancelot. Occasionally Bran will show signs of his heritage (which he has chosen to forget although it is still inside him in a closed off portion of his mind) and will suddenly seem very imposing. A natural inclination toward leadership, an arrogance of a King. He can hold his body regally, and has a strength beyond his years. This may come out more often when facing political turmoil or forced into a leadership position.

Abilities

Bran is still the son of Arthur Pendragon and his queen Guinevere, brought forward through time and prophesied to fight the dark alongside Will Stanton and the light. Part of the High Magic, and able to wield Erias (the crystal sword), but he has chosen to forget his heritage and become only human. He will always have leadership qualities, those are inherent to him, a way of speaking that demands respect when necessary but for all intents and purposes he'll just be a normal boy unless the administration request I bring in any of his more than human qualities.
